For Your Ecological Health:

I want to call attention to therapist and colleague Kellum Lewis, who is becoming a pioneer in Ecological Psychology and its relevance to LGBTQ counselors and treaters. The course is intended to lift up, amplify, validate, and celebrate queer voices and experiences concerning ecotherapy and feeling at-home in the more-than-human world.

This course has been developed for mental health professionals, including interns and students in the counseling professions, as well as coaches, wellness practitioners, ministers, teachers, allied health professionals and healers, who feel themselves to be sexually and/or gender variant/queer, i.e., outside the sexual and gender norm of “heterosexual cis-gender” culture. It is also appropriate for LGBTQI2+ allies, that is, people who work and/or relate directly with sexual and genderqueer people for their development and benefit. If you do not find yourself in one of these groups, we respectfully ask that you select one of the other Level 1 trainings that may better represent your identity group.

Starting Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 5:30 PM PT.

For Your LGBTQ Health:

I just recently went to an exhibit of LGBTQ High School Researchers at One’s WeHo Gallery and fell in love with the staff there and what they do. Keep this place in mind: Founded in 1952, One Institute, formerly ONE Archives Foundation, is the oldest active LGBTQ+ organization in the country, dedicated to telling LGBTQ+ history and stories through education, arts, and social justice programs. Our one-of-a-kind exhibitions and public programs connect LGBTQ+ history and contemporary culture to effect social change. Through unique K-12 teacher training, lesson plans, and youth mentorship programs, we empower the next generation of teachers and students to bring queer history into classrooms and communities. As the independent community partner of ONE Archives at the USC Libraries, we promote the largest collection of LGBTQ+ materials in the world.

For Your Musical Health:

To honor the role Black people have played in the creation of American art and consciousness, it’s important to study the phenomenon of RAP and the figures who created it. This interview just came out and I found it fascinating as the themes of race, poverty, oppression, reparation, and creativity are addressed. This is the description on the YouTube page: The one and only 21 Savage sits down with Shannon Sharpe in this episode of Club Shay Shay, and it's a rollercoaster of realness with the Atlanta rapper. 21 goes into what it was like being born in London and growing up in Atlanta, exposing the trials and tribulations that eventually led to him becoming a global music superstar.

Then, 21 Savage spares no details as he shares the chilling story of surviving six gunshot wounds and witnessing his friend's murder. The harsh realities of the rap game aren’t exclusive to 21’s experiences as he delves into the death of Memphis’ Yo Gotti’s brother. Then, Saint Laurent Don delves into the financial side of the industry, comparing rap money to NFL earnings and shedding light on the frugality of T.I., who almost gave 21 a million dollars but didn’t, which turned out to be a blessing in the long run. But the buck doesn’t stop there, as 21 responds to Snoop Dogg's streaming insights and shares that there is good money to be made from streaming, which has compelled him to consider selling his catalog as Future did. 21 Savage covers it all; from claiming the title of the best rapper in his XXL Freshman Class to giving his picks for the Mt. Rushmore of R&B artists and the best rappers from Atlanta, and expressing his willingness to drop a collab album with J. Cole. It's a candid, no-filter conversation that gives fans an unfiltered glimpse into the life and opinions of the Atlanta rap legend.

For Your Astrological Health:

If you are following social media, everybody is talking about the fact that Pluto just entered the constellation of Aquarius. Pluto is the planet of death and transformation. Aquarius is the constellation of REVOLUTION. The last time this transit took place, humanity saw the French and American revolutions. And Pluto is stationing in Aquarius for TWENTY YEARS! And then we have a few eclipses taking place. I am learning about astrology late in life. I was skeptical before, less so now. I will talk to you about Pam Gregory later; she’s very high-frequency. If you would like to hear some really sane type shit, I recommend “The Astrology Channel.” I love the dynamic duo of astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock. They provide here an overview of the month ahead astrology forecast for February 2024, discussing planetary alignments and key events that will occur during the month.
